Under the motto »Hey set dey, dey always hey set« the members of the Alt-Lich regulars’ table meet every Tuesday in their local bar – which has been called Peter Pan for a number of years.
60 years ago, VfR footballers Ludwig Heller, Walter Sommer, Helmut Hartmann, Peter Wissig, Dieter Hess, Ernst Fey and Manfred Pabst founded the regulars’ table. Although Pabst emigrated to Canada in 1966, he was joined by Heinz Nathes, Günter Reidel, Klaus Weicker, Dieter Stolle and Karl Wilhelm Scholl.
The jubilees like to talk about the many trips they made to Munich, Hintersee (here they met with and at the ski legend Wolfgang Bartels) or in Lich’s twin town Dieulefit. You’ve been to Mallorca a total of 15 times. For the 40th birthday of the regulars’ table, we went across the pond for the first time. In the USA, San Francisco and Las Vegas were visited. A trip to Florida was followed by New York, Toronto (where the emigrated founding member Pabst was visited) and Quebec. In 2011, it was Western Canada’s turn. The 50th anniversary trip had California with Los Angeles as its destination, two years later it was Florida’s turn again, and in 2017 the last joint trip to the USA led back to the West.
After a two-year Corona break, the island of Rügen was visited for the 60th anniversary of the regulars’ table this year. – In the regulars’ corner of the Peter Pan restaurant in the old town of Lich, not only are memories exchanged every Tuesday, but you also regularly visit the Sunday home games of VfR Lich or follow football games on TV. In addition, local events provide plenty to talk about. The photo shows Helmut Hartmann, Klaus Weicker, Dieter Stolle, Günter Reidel, Karl Wilhelm Scholl and Peter Wissig (from left). moj/Photo: moj
