PT Toyota-Astra Motor as Toyota’s Brand Holder Agent (APM) in Indonesia, confirmed that they are still selling older versions of the Innova diesel so far.
PT Toyota-Astra Motor (TAM) marketing director Anton Jimmi Suwandy explained on the sidelines of the Toyota Kijang Innova Zenix hybrid test drive session in Semarang, Central Java that the older diesel Innova was primarily aimed at fleet consumers.
“We are still selling (Innova Diesel), but we are specializing it for fleets (corporate consumers), for retail, it is possible, but you have to wait,” said Anton.
Anton added that the reason for still selling Innova Diesel was because there was still demand in the market.
“Currently there are about 200-300 for SPK. Yes, but you have to wait because you order earlier, 2-3 months,” said Anton.
Anton has even made sure that the Innova diesel or older automatic options are included in next year’s production slate.
“Right now only manuals (which are produced by Toyota for Innova Diesel), next year in March we want to produce matic (the choice of Innova diesel matic). Because there is still demand, from rentals, for example for touring to Bali And this does not interfere with the latest models (Innova Zenix), but this has to be spk first and then produced,” added Anton.
In previous detikOto news, the old version of the Kijang Innova is still being offered. There are two older Innova models offered, namely Innova 2.4 GM/T DSL Euro 4, Innova 2.0 GM/T petrol.

- Innova 2.0 GM/T Petrol: IDR 370.05 million
In comparison, the Kijang Innova Zenix comes in seven types which are divided into three main types, namely Q, V and G. In the Q 2.0 HV grade, the Kijang Innova Zenix has been equipped with Toyota Safety Sense 3.0 and the L The modelist option is available as an additional styling package. In V grade, there are two powertrains, namely the petrol engine and the EV hybrid, where for the 2.0 V HV grade, the “Modellista” option is available. In G-grade there are also two engine options namely petrol and Hybrid EV.
The latest Toyota Kijang Innova Zenix features a 2,000cc TNGA engine coded M20A-FKS Dynamic Force Engine. This 1,987cc VVT-i twin-displacement four-cylinder engine produces up to 174PS of power at 6,600rpm with a maximum torque of 204.9Nm. All Toyota Kijang Innova Zenix types are equipped with a coded CVT transmission K120.
