PHOTO He is one of the record holders of endurance playing in one series and what we will talk about – the life story of gynecologist Čestmír Mázl was one of the main factors that kept viewers watching the Surgery in the Rose Garden. He used to be the star of the Na Fidlovačka Theater, then also of the Na Vinohrady Theater. It’s all over now. What happened?
Acting was not to be his destiny. His parents put him in high school economics and planned a serious career for him. However, it drew Petra to the theater from an early age, from the age of ten he played in a children’s ensemble and at school he was a class clown from the first grade. Although he was not taken to DAMU after graduation, he could immediately stand on the stage in Most as an elephant. The director Luboš Pistorius noticed him there and later recommended him to Jiřina Jirásková, the then director of the Vinohrady Theater. He played on the famous stage for six years, then with Tomáš Töpfer and other actors he became a co-founder of the renewed Fidlovačka Theater, and for four years he alternated role after role.

This was followed by the moderation of entertaining shows on Nova, first Natočto !, and then Rychlý prachy. Nova secured him popularity, but also the label of an entertainer. The role of MUDr. Čestmír Mázl in the surgery. Although Čestmír has a sense of humor, in reality he is such a slightly sad man. His return to the Vinohrady Theater brought him even the most coveted great serious roles, such as King Menelaus in Ifigenia in Aulida or Karel Hasler in a drama about the turbulent life of a famous singer. Then came the covid, the theater closed. And in the middle of last year, Nova announced the end of its flagship, the Surgery in the Rose Garden series. Petr Rychlý, meanwhile, immersed himself in studying in a completely different field, and began playing poker. He then thoughtfully made a big decision in his life. He freed himself from all permanent work obligations, left the Theater in Vinohrady and the Surgery.
Čestmír Mázl was one of the first heroes of the Surgery in the Rose Garden back in 2005, so filming the only project for the eighteenth season is really a record in our Czech basin. But compared to the US, we have something to catch up with. The unrivaled oldest daily series U nás v Springfieldu was launched on the radio in 1937, then in 1952 it moved smoothly to the screens and its heroes lived for several generations until 2009; photo courtesy of TV Nova
Is Čestmír Mázl immortal?
Last summer, the audience was disturbed by the resentment that the series Ordination in the Rose Garden is coming to an end after fifteen years. It was written a lot at the time how upset the actors were, because they found out at the last minute. For Petr Rychlý, to whom the Surgery allegedly brought a fee of around 150,000 crowns a month, this was certainly an intervention in the budget. When Nova then changed her mind and announced the continuation of the series on Voyo, he jumped back on the bandwagon. But not for long. A few days ago, the episode in which Čestmír Mázl died was broadcast. It should probably be the final point behind Petr Rychlý’s performance, but … Probably in anticipation of another spectator storm, Nova immediately announced that Mázl would continue to appear, even if only in the dreams of her serial wife.
Čestmír Mázl introduced himself to the audience in 2005 as a bridegroom. His first wife Marcela was played by Alena Štréblová and they had two children, Jakub and Nina. Because of his weakness for beautiful women, they divorced, and Marcela then died of cancer;photo courtesy of TV Nova
He ran after his second wife, Fita Petrova, while still caring for the sick Marcela, and they were planning a wedding. In In 2008, however, Gita went on a business trip to Berlin, where she became involved in a neo-Nazi brawl at the station and died of her injuries; photo courtesy of TV Nova
Such passages are usually solved by editing scenes from older parts, but this time the creators pretend that Rychlý will continue to play. Is Mazel immortal? Who knows, we didn’t see his demise, it was only announced to his wife and it was a very curious moment. “The convoy where your husband traveled was attacked by a drug cartel commando. Unfortunately, your husband was among those shot. He died on the spot with five other people, “said the screen. But did the gynecologist die on a long-distance medical mission? In the Aha! a guaranteed message from the manager Petr Rychlý appeared: “Petr definitely doesn’t end in the surgery!” And the actor himself asked Aha! He deftly defeated: “No one is immortal, not even Čestmír Mázl! Maybe a lot of viewers take him as an immortal, and that makes me very happy. Only time will tell whether Čestmír Mázl’s serial life really is like that … “

The thirteenth series of the Ordinace culminated with a wedding with Alena Rytířová, presented by Michaela Badinková, a charming native of Slovakia, Malacek. Right now, although the screenwriters have made her a widow, Čestmír’s story probably doesn’t end with death under extremely dramatic circumstances. Fourth grandfather
In the Jan Kraus Show, the four Fastmen almost didn’t fit in the red seat, but they were glad to see each other and the family stories were falling up their sleeves. Petr Rychlý has two sons, Matěj and Ondřej, from a marriage to actress Pavla Rychlý and the youngest Petr to his second wife, tennis player Jana Pospíšilová-Rychlá. Matěj is a reporter for CNN Prima News, we know Ondřej well, because he follows in his father’s footsteps and plays in theater and television series. Petr chose his mother as a role model and, in addition to still studying at the grammar school, he only plays tennis. Jan Kraus’s story revolved a lot about how his sons told his father that he would be a grandfather.

For the first time, Matěj derailed his father a little, because when he wanted to talk to him in private, he confided that he would marry, but then to the question, ‘Will it be a boy or a girl?’ he explained to his father that he did not want to talk to him about it. She wasn’t expecting his future baby at the time, but the exemplary son wanted to ask Dad for permission to get a tattoo on Batman’s shoulder. Petr Rychlý does not like tattoos. But what, the son was already an adult, he was supposed to get married, so why is he asking him about a tattoo? Today Matěj has two children, Laura and Alfréd. Ondřej went even harder with his father’s announcement. He confided that they wanted to get a dog with his wife. This was a shock for Rychlý again, because he likes dogs, but he prefers strangers rather than at home. Ondřej showed him a catalog of dogs and pasted an ultrasound of the expected baby into it. My grandfather barely understood. But the whole large family rejoiced at little Tobias. A few days ago, Ondřej’s daughter František was born, so Petr Rychlý, who is still a teenager, is already a four-time grandfather. “Thanks to Terezka and Ondra, I’m a grandfather 4 times. God bless you, Francis, “the actor confided on the social network.

When will the whole family come together? Little. All honor only Christmas together with Peter and Jana in Kamenice. However, Petr now meets Ondřej more often, because they play together in the performance of the Kalich Theater. Ondřej even directs and, surprisingly, his father is brave. “It simply came to our notice then. I went to his premieres and he went to mine. And we always endured the other’s comments. Because we have the experience that we can communicate about a job we enjoy, I’m not afraid. I believe that Ondra will give me new energy to work, “Rychlý said at the theater’s press conference. The play With the Truth Out will have its premiere on the Summer Stage under the Žižkov Tower and is proof that Petr Rychlý does not leave the theater so completely. He just doesn’t want to be tied up anywhere, he wants time for family, tennis and poker.
Petr Rychlý is an actor, drummer and moderator. He was born on August 9, 1965 in Prague, but grew up in Nejdek, where the family moved when he was one year old. He failed three times at the DAMU rehearsals, but quickly succeeded in the theater. His most famous role is Čestmír Mázl from the Surgery in the Rose Garden, but we could also see him in the series about firefighters What are you firefighters, where they stuck his beard before each shoot. He didn’t like him very much … |
For fun, not money
Poker is gambling, but it’s not roulette. It has its rules, both recreational and professional players. No one pulls an ace up their sleeve, they have to think, count and mentally manage moments of tension in the game, during which players play around their opponents simply by being able to bluff. There are whole thick books on how to become a successful player. On pokerzive.cz, they asked Petr Rychlý what it was like to study his game: the complications themselves. Now I study less, play more and analyze my game and watch videos from different final tables of others playing. But when I come up with something myself, it’s a great joy. Poker is terribly variable, no book will win you a tournament. I know that poker players may not like to hear it, but in order to win, you have to have one “tournament” in that particular tournament, you have to endure a few allins, sometimes you cut someone, you know, “he said of his approach to poker.
In 2011, as one of the eight popular faces in the six-part Poker Star television competition. Poker is often referred to as gambling, but its proponents claim that it is the player’s skills that determine it; photo courtesy of TV Nova
He likes to play live tournaments, but covid isolation has taught him to play online as well. He is popular at the tables because he does not deny his character and likes to have fun playing. He has success here and there and will win some money, but don’t expect millions. “I don’t play poker for money, but really for fun,” he said in an interview with Card Player Czech & Slovak a few years ago. “I’m not even a regular player, I don’t have time for that. I go to play because I meet nice people at poker who deal with card combinations, and it’s a lot of relaxation for me. I’ll clear my head about poker. ”It is all the more clear that he may lack a good income from the role of Čestmír Mázl, although it is understandable that this character is also partially annoying. So let’s be surprised how it will turn out with Čestmír, and in the meantime let’s wish his representatives luck in the play, in the family and on the stage.
