French media outlet iGeneration has reported that Apple may release an official iOS 16.2 update on the 12th of next month (local time).
According to the report, Eve Systems, which sells smart home devices for Apple HomeKit, said on its website, “Starting December 12, Apple Home users can update Eve Door & Window for free through the Eve app for iOS.”
Apple began supporting Matter, a new smart home standard, in iOS 16.1 and added the new Matter architecture to the Home app in iOS 16.2.
It is not possible to confirm whether the update date mentioned by Eve Systems is the official iOS 16.2 release date, but late last month it was reported that ▲iOS 16.2 ▲iPadOS 16.2 official update would be released around mid – December.
