First Deputy Commander – Chief of Staff of the Odessa Marine Guard Detachment State Border Service of Ukraine Alexei Chertkov, on the eve of his disappearance, borrowed money from colleagues.
As became known OBOZREVATEL from our own sources, we are talking about about 15 thousand dollars (about 400 thousand UAH). The officer borrowed money under various pretexts.
“Alexey asked to borrow money from his fellow border guards. thousand dollars “, – said our interlocutor.
According to one of the officers, this is not the amount to run away with: “Unless this money was needed to repay a debt to someone. I don’t even want to think about the fact that the chief of staff needed funds” to escape. “
He also believes that, perhaps, trouble happened to Chertkov, but he hopes that he is still alive.
Another colleague of Alexei Chertkov told OBOZREVATELthat the parents and other relatives of the officer really live in Crimea, but he himself has been serving in Odessa for many years.
“The media wrote that Chertkov left Crimea with the beginning of the Russian aggression, but this is not the case. He had been in Odessa for a long time before,” our interlocutor shared.
As reported OBOZREVATEL, the disappearance of the Chief of Staff of the Odessa Naval Guard Detachment Alexei Chertkov became known on June 1. The officer left the house, but did not reach the place of service.
The search for the missing officer is carried out by the State Border Service, the police and the military counterintelligence of the Security Service of Ukraine. Among other things, the version is being worked out that the officer could have crossed the state border under the “left” documents. Such a possibility is allowed even in the orientation about the search for the chief of staff, which was at the disposal of OBOZREVATEL.
There is also speculation that the officer could have been kidnapped. One of the reasons is that Chertkov had access to information that might be of interest to the Russian special services.
