The Office of the Presidential Adviser on Peace, Reconciliation and Unity has distributed rice and hosted an Iftar event for 250 residents at the Dulay Transitory Shelter in Marawi City, as part of its Duyog Ramadan program, which aims to support displaced citizens from the siege in 2017. The OPAPRU will continue similar activities at two other transitory shelters in the same city, with a target of reaching 806 beneficiaries.

The Office of the Presidential Adviser on Peace, Reconciliation and Unity (OPAPRU) has launched its annual Duyog Ramadan program. The project aims to support needy communities and citizens who were forced to leave their homes in Marawi City after the eruption of the siege in 2017. The project distributed ten kilograms of rice to at least 250 residents at the Dulay Transitory Shelter. An Iftar, or breaking of fast, was also hosted for the residents. The beneficiaries were selected by their Northern Mindanao Area Management Unit, which coordinates with recipients. Dulay Transitory Shelter was chosen because it has previously received assistance. Further activities will take place at two other transitory shelters and a Bahay Pag-asa shelter, all in the same city, until the project reaches its target of 806 beneficiaries.
