In connection with the Decision of the Council of Ministers – No. 54 of January 25, 2024, by which the period of validity of the temporary protection in the Republic of Bulgaria was extended until 03.04.2025, the ODMVR-Burgas informs that all issued registration cards of foreigners granted temporary protection in the Republic of Bulgaria are currently valid until 03/04/2024.
The same should be extended/renewed after the expressed desire of the displaced person granted temporary protection, who is its holder.
The term of the registration cards, valid until 03/04/2024, can be extended both after and before this date, at the request of the displaced person.
The re-registration of persons who have registration cards for temporary protection is carried out until 31.03.2024 at the points of the Ministry of Internal Affairs and at the centers of the State Agency for Refugees (SRA) in the country.
In the event that the foreigner wishes to extend his registration card after 31.03.2024, he can submit an application only in one of the territorial divisions of the DAB.
Therefore, on the territory of the ODMVR – Burgas, Ukrainian citizens holding registration cards for temporary protection, valid until 03/04/2024, can request an extension of their term until 03/31/2024 at the following points on the territory of Burgas Region: First District Administration – Burgas and Regional Administrations of Nessebar, Sozopol, Pomorie and Tsarevo.
The persons should present a valid passport and a valid registration card, which will reflect the extension of the deadline until 03/04/2025. The date will be added manually by the MIA employee after reflecting the changes in the specialized information system.
In case the registration card has been laminated by its holder, the person will be issued a new one which is not laminated.
Of particular importance is the fact that there is sufficient time for re-registration so that registration card holders do not crowd and form queues in front of police stations.
