The Israeli occupation authorities released 30 Palestinian prisoners as part of the fifth batch of the exchange deal.
The occupation forces released 15 children and 15 women, 20 of whom were from Jerusalem and 10 from the West Bank.
This coincided with the occupation forces firing tear gas bombs, live bullets, and rubber bullets at citizens who were receiving the liberated prisoners.
As a result, confrontations broke out between the young men and the occupation forces. The occupation forces also prevented press crews from covering it and forced them to leave.
Earlier Tuesday, Hamas announced a list of the names of Palestinian prisoners scheduled to be released as part of the exchange deal.
This list is the fifth batch of Palestinian prisoners to be released from Israeli prisons, under the humanitarian truce reached by Hamas and Israel in the Gaza Strip, through Qatari-Egyptian-American mediation. It took effect last Friday and was scheduled for 4 days, and was extended on Monday for another two days.
On October 7, the Palestinian resistance launched an attack on the settlements surrounding Gaza, during which more than 1,200 Israelis were killed, more than 5,000 were injured, and about 239 were captured.
While Israel launched a devastating war on the Gaza Strip, it left massive infrastructure destruction and tens of thousands of civilian casualties, most of them children and women, in addition to an unprecedented humanitarian catastrophe, according to official Palestinian and UN sources.
