Author of one of the greatest planetary hits of world music, with Soul Makossa, 1972 title, Manu Dibango had composed a 45 laps whose flagship title was an anthem for the football team of Cameroon during the African Cup of Nations. Spotted by New York DJs, the title has known a thousand lives.
