The tool was designed by Randstad France for Creativ’, the structure commissioned by local authorities and the State, in Côte d’Or, to intervene in the field of employment, integration and skills. It revealed, for the first quarter of 2022, a 37% increase in job offers in the department, to 33,243 published (including 61% on permanent contracts) against 30% nationally and 40% regionally. . Dijon Métropole concentrates 75% of these jobs, the Beaune basin 19% and that of Montbard 6%. “The trend is hyperpositive and shows a sharp rise in permanent contracts,” comments Patrick Vanoli, director of the market intelligence division of the Randstad France group.
This observatory launched at the end of 2021 was born from the observation of the strong resilience of the local job market to the 2008 crisis and then to the health crisis, and the desire of local actors to go even further in the analysis to better supporting job seekers and businesses.
“Our territory is resisting well because it has a good diversity of sectors, which helps to cushion, and we had the idea of an observatory which would also objectify the invisible market, that of employment which does not pass through published offers but through unsolicited applications or through the networks, in order to make it visible,” explains Océane Charret-Godard, employment advisor for Dijon Métropole and president of Creativ’.
29% invisible job offers
“For job seekers, it is important to understand how the job market works in order to adapt their approach”, also thinks Patrick Vanoli. “We strongly believe in providing precision for them and for companies, to gain on one side and the other in agility and adapt to changes, and we have succeeded in modeling this invisible offer”.
In 2021, out of a total of 69,976 hires made in Côte d’Or, the weight of the invisible market was 29% (39% in France, 36% in Bourgogne-Franche-Comté), a low proportion which reflects the good dynamics of the market forced to publish more offers, according to Randstad.
The observatory will disseminate, each semester, a follow-up of the five main areas of activity of the department: construction, health, industry, the tertiary sector and transport/logistics. The tool is also used with interest by the DAQ 2.0 of Dijon, the local qualification system financed by the Bourgogne-Franche-Comté region.
