The objective of rescuing CFE was achieved, highlights the Board of Directors

During the last government and as a result of all the support that the administration has given to the energy sector, one of the main objectives set at the beginning of the six-year term, rescuing the Federal Electricity Commission (CFE), has been met. assured its general director, Manuel Bartlett Díaz.

“In the last year of this administration, thanks to the permanent support of President Andrés Manuel López Obrador, it can be stated with evidence, data and realities for all to see, that the presidential instruction was fulfilled: rescue the CFE,” said the productive company in a statement released to the media.

The message was presented after the 60th Ordinary Session of the CFE Board of Directors, directed by the president of the Council and head of the Ministry of Energy (Sener), Miguel Ángel Maciel Torres.

“The president of the Council extended congratulations to the CFE for the current management, which in an extraordinary way managed to strengthen it. The substitute director representative of the Single Union of Electrical Workers of the Mexican Republic (SUTERM), Mario Ernesto González Núñez, stated that he has witnessed the before and after of the company with the efforts of the present administration.

At the meeting, Bartlett Díaz dedicated himself to providing a series of data that was previously published by the company.

He highlighted that last year, the CFE achieved a net profit of more than 96 billion pesos and with the improvement of management and the taking advantage of financial opportunities, it allowed us to reduce operating costs by 16 percent, thus achieving a balance positive financial balance of 13,784 million pesos.

He stressed that, in an unprecedented action, during the current government, 36 projects were promoted that will provide a capacity of nine thousand 100 megawatts as a result of a series of investments of around nine thousand 170 million dollars.

At the same time, he stated, with direct and timely supervision it was possible for the Laguna Verde nuclear power plant to achieve its best generation in a year of refueling, and an availability of 90 percent.

He added that another of the priority projects, CFE Internet for all, is on the right track, since there are 34,827 service points with free internet connections in the 32 entities of the Republic.
