Regular consumption of herring will have a positive effect on the functioning of the cardiovascular system and the thyroid gland, since fish contains healthy fats and vitamins, minerals and amino acids necessary for the body. This opinion was expressed on Instagram by nutritionist Svetlana Fus.
According to the expert, herring contains 1.5-2 daily norms of omega-3 fatty acids. She recalled that people who regularly consume Omega-3 are much less likely to suffer from depression and do not have skin problems.
Foos added that fatty acids are essential for the brain and retina. They reduce the risk of premature wrinkle formation, the expert explained.
The nutritionist highlighted the beneficial qualities of herring: a high content of iodine, selenium and vitamin E, which are powerful antioxidants. The nutrients, she said, are important for the immune system to function, minimizing “free radical damage.”
