The Nusantara Capital City Authority (OIKN) and German technology company Siemens have signed a Memorandum of Understanding to develop smart city infrastructure. The MoU will see the two parties collaborating on the development of smart buildings, smart energy, smart mobility, and smart industrial automation systems for the new capital city of Nusantara. The collaboration aims to strengthen the partnership between OIKN and Siemens, as well as exchange ideas and experiences in the planning and implementation of smart city concepts. OIKN is focusing on using digital technology to enhance the city’s capabilities, reduce costs, and engage more efficiently with citizens. Siemens will establish a working group with relevant stakeholders, conduct preliminary feasibility studies, and explore strategic collaborations in the implementation of projects.
