Mihaela Anghel is a nurse at the National Institute of Infectious Diseases “Prof. Dr. Matei Bals ”who was the first person vaccinated, in Romania, against Covid-19. She reported that she became pregnant a few days after the first dose on February 27, 2020.
“Even though the pandemic affected our lifestyle, 2021 was more than perfect for me. Shortly after the booster dose, I found out I was pregnant. It seems that the pregnancy occurred a few days after the first dose or even before… it is not known for sure. The vaccine protected both me and the baby, who has antibodies after the vaccine “, commented Mihaela Anghel, for Gândul.
The nurse emphasized that she supports vaccination, both during pregnancy and breastfeeding.
“It is recommended by doctors and does not harm the baby, on the contrary, it helps to immunize him. I haven’t done the third dose yet, but it’s coming. Fortunately, all members of the family are immunized and have not had contact with the virus, “said the young woman.
