The Japan Meteorological Agency said that several earthquakes of different magnitudes occurred in the area before and after the devastating earthquake recorded on January 1. On January 6, an aftershock of magnitude 5.4 was recorded in the Noto peninsula, which is the closest residential area to the epicenter of the earthquake. The agency warned of landslides and mudslides due to the expected rains.
In 14 cities in the area of the natural disaster where great destruction occurred, there are still difficulties in supplying electricity to 24 thousand houses and water supply to 66 thousand houses.
