The number of people killed in the recent floods in Germany has reached 180, many have disappeared, TV3 News reports.
In the federal state of Rhineland-Palatinate, which was most affected by the rains, at least 150 people are still not found.
Police are reassured that the list of missing persons also includes people who had gone on holiday and are likely to be safe. Law enforcement officers search for the missing using helicopters and search dogs.
In Belgium’s neighboring country, Belgium, floods have claimed 36 lives.
German meteorological services have called for vigilance, as rain is also forecast this weekend.
