Today, Wednesday, the Ministry of Health and Population announced that 7 out of the newly infected Corona virus patients have been discharged from the isolation hospital out of the 27 cases whose results have turned from positive to negative for Corona virus (Covid-19), after receiving medical care and completing their recovery according to organized guidelines Global health, in addition to the recovery of the first case discovered in Egypt of a foreign person who was a carrier of the virus, bringing the total of those recovering to 8 cases so far.
Dr. Khaled Mujahid, adviser to the Minister of Health and Population for Media Affairs and the official spokesperson of the ministry, said that the 7 cases that left the isolation hospital today, including 6 Egyptians and one case of a foreign person.
He pointed out that 7 new cases had been proven positive for his analysis of the emerging corona virus, today, from those in contact with the positive cases that had been discovered and announced in advance, within the Ministry’s surveillance and investigation procedures in coordination with the World Health Organization and according to its instructions, pointing out that among those cases 6 Egyptians , In addition to a case of a foreign person, bringing the number of cases that were registered positively to the virus in Egypt, 67 cases.
Within the preventive and precautionary plan applied by the ministry towards the Nile cruise ship in Luxor governorate that showed some injuries, Mujahid revealed that 7 cases of quarantine were left after confirming the negativity of their analyzes for the second time and reassuring them.
Mujahid reiterated not to monitor any cases infected or suspected of being infected with the new Corona virus in all governorates of the Republic except what has been announced, indicating that once suspected of any infection will be announced immediately, in full transparency in accordance with international health regulations, and in coordination with the World Health Organization.
The Ministry of Health and Population continues to raise its readiness at all ports of the country (air, land, and sea), follow the situation first-hand regarding the “emerging corona” virus, and take all necessary preventive measures against any viruses or infectious diseases, and hotline 105 has been allocated to receive citizens’ inquiries regarding Corona emerging virus and infectious diseases.
