4013 people have been told in the past week that they have contracted the corona virus. That is slightly less than last week’s number. Then 4036 infections were reported.
The number of people who died is higher than in the weeks before. Sixteen people died of the corona virus in the past week, nine a week earlier and six the week before. In addition, fifty people were hospitalized for an infection, compared to 38 in the previous week and 44 a week earlier.
Highest number of corona patients in hospital since July 1
Yesterday it was announced that 165 corona patients are being treated in the hospital. That is the highest number since July 1. Chairman Ernst Kuipers of the National Network Acute Care therefore advocated vigilance. “Today, in a part of the Netherlands, pupils from primary and secondary education are going back to school. It remains important that both parents and students remain alert and observe the measures to prevent the number of infections from rising further. ”
