The number of new confirmed cases of COVID-19 in DIY reaches 138 cases

Yogyakarta, IDN Times – Number of additional confirmed or positive COVID-19 cases at Special Region Yogyakarta (DIY) on Saturday (28/11/2020) reached 138 cases. This was revealed by the spokesperson for the DIY Regional Government for Handling COVID-19, Berty Murtiningsih.

“Total positive cases COVID-19 in DIY there were 5,783 cases, “he said in a written statement on Saturday.

1. Dominated by the contact tracing results

Berty said most of the new confirmatory case histories were results tracing contacts from previous cases. “Tracing contacts with 65 positive cases,” he said.

Others, came from the results of self-examination of 23 cases, job screening of one case, and trips outside the area of four cases. As for the remaining 45, there is no further information.

If traced by region, the most additional patients came from Sleman Regency with 72 cases. Followed by Bantul Regency with 25 cases, Yogyakarta City with 23 cases, Gunungkidul Regency with 13 cases, and Kulon Progo Regency with 5 cases.

Berty also reported that four patients were declared dead. These patients are:

1. Case 4964: 67 year old woman resident of Yogyakarta City (Comorbid: Diabetes Mellitus / DM)
2. Case 5441: 66 year old woman from Gunung Kidul (Comorid: Heart)
3. Case 5458: Female 61 years from Yogyakarta City (Comorbid: DM, Hypertension)
4. Case 5582: 47 years old man from Sleman.

“So that the total cases died to 144 cases,” said Berty

In addition, Berty also announced the good news that 53 patients had recovered, bringing the number of cured cases to 4,283. The recovered patients came from Yogyakarta City as many as 21 people, Bantul 15 people, Kulon Progo one person, Gunungkidul two people, and Sleman 14 people.

However, the growing number of active patients has made the number of isolation beds in referral hospitals getting smaller. In today’s afternoon data, 10 was recorded bed critical and 40 bed non critical remaining in all COVID-19 referral hospitals in DIY.
