The death toll in the Georgian village of Shove, where a landslide occurred in early August, increased to 32. Georgian First Channel reported this on Sunday, September 10.
“Fire-rescuers from the Emergency Management Service under the Ministry of Internal Affairs discovered another body in Racha, in the bed of the Chanchakhi River,” the statement said.
Thus, according to the Georgian Ministry of Internal Affairs, the bodies of 32 dead have now been discovered. The search for one person continues.
Let us remind you that a landslide in the Georgian resort village of Shovi occurred on August 3. The landslide practically destroyed all tourist facilities at the resort and damaged the infrastructure, cutting Shovi off from the outside world. Among those killed in the landslide was a Ukrainian citizen.
