3,630 people died, about the same as the week before, when 3,644 people died. That’s about 700 more than what is normal for this time of the year.

According to the figures of the RIVM, 358 and 409 people died from Covid-19 during those two weeks. The figures from Statistics Netherlands probably provide a better picture of the lethality of the virus, because a relatively large number of people who die from it have not been tested and therefore fall outside the weekly corona figures of the RIVM.
