The number of coronavirus patients is also increasing in Bremen state hospitals. This is confirmed by the health department of Bremen. The autumn corona wave and other respiratory infections also cause staff breakdowns in the Bremen and Bremerhaven clinics.
At its next meeting, the Senate wants to discuss whether the development will also have consequences for Bremen’s crown policy. This was announced by the health senator at the request of buten un binnen.
The growing incidences and especially the high number of occupied beds and intensive care units in our hospitals are extremely worrying. On Tuesday we will speak in the Senate if and what additional protective measures are needed to better protect the people of Bremen and to give relief to our health system.

A month ago there were still 44 patients with Corona in the hospitals of the city of Bremen. Since then their number has grown steadily: the health department now registers nearly 170 coronary patients. The number of corona patients in the ICU rose from five to twelve over the period. At the same time, the nursing staff are sick or on vacation. The situation is tense but manageable, said a spokesman for the Nord municipal clinics.
More than one in ten employees of the Reinkenheide Clinic is currently absent
In Bremerhaven hospitals, the number of infected patients has fluctuated between 25 and almost 60 in one month. Here too, the situation is tense, said a spokeswoman for the Reinkenheide Clinic. In the more than 50 cases of crown among patients at her home, more and more symptomatic courses are observed again. There would also be sick staff: about eleven percent of the Reinkenheide clinic’s workforce is currently absent.
On Thursday, the incidence in 7 days dropped to 692 in Bremen. At the beginning of the week the value of new infections per 100,000 inhabitants within seven days was 800, a week ago it was 548. In Bremerhaven the incidence in 7 days is 642, at the beginning of the week it was 651 and seven days ago it was 611.
