Jokela said on his own Instagram account on Thursday evening that he cannot find his parked Vespa scooter anywhere. The scooter was stolen.
The scooter was stolen from the center of Helsinki.

– The Vespa has been parked on the street all summer long. My neighbor’s Vespa was next to it. He had time to take his to the winter rollers a couple of weeks ago, so he didn’t have to experience this shock, says Jokela by phone.

According to Jokela, there are several surveillance cameras in that area.
– It’s quite special that someone dares to talk about it. I hope the thieves would be caught through surveillance cameras. Of course, it could be that they are so well disguised that this will never come out, Jokela continues.
Jokela contacted the authorities about the incident already on Thursday evening. He filed an official criminal complaint on Friday morning.

Jokela got his mint green scooter at the beginning of June.
– Our journey together did not last many months. I bought the scooter at the beginning of the summer and now it has already started. It wasn’t long, Jokela laments.
– People are quite ruthless. It doesn’t help, even though it’s in a place where a lot of people pass by. It can start from anywhere, he continues.

Jokela would not have believed that a scooter would have been stolen from such a public place as the center of Helsinki.
– I’ve had to keep my scooter on the street because our apartment building doesn’t have a courtyard. The scooter has already been knocked over before.
According to the radio host, he only owned the scooter for four days when it was already crashed for the first time.
– It left quite a few cuts and dents on the other side. When I was about to get a Vespa, my neighbor said that nothing had happened to his scooter.
Jokela had discussed the topic with his colleague Esko Eerikäinen. Eerikäinen said that he also had a scooter stolen from him in the center of Helsinki.
For this reason, Jokela is not sure if he is going to buy a new arcade game to replace the old one.
– It’s quite risky, Jokela concludes.
