Pre-filled personal income tax returns are now available in the NRA e-Services Portal.
Users who have a Personal Identification Code (PIC) or a Qualified Electronic Signature (QES) can benefit from automatically entered information about their income from employment, civil contracts (fees), rent and other taxable income on the general annual tax base, the payers of which are legal entities, income for subsidies received from the State Fund “Agriculture”, data on the personal contributions made for insurance service upon retirement, amounts received from direct payments from sales on the Internet and information on the sale of motor vehicles vehicles that have been owned by the declarant for less than 12 months, as well as data on the tax benefits used through the employer.
Information about the received income is reflected in the relevant annexes to the declaration, which is located in the “Income taxes” section of the e-portal of the revenue agency.
From this year, the form will also include data on paid non-taxable income and/or income subject to final tax under Art. 38 of the Personal Income Tax, which citizens can declare at will in Appendix No. 13.
Before confirming the completed declaration, it is important that users review it carefully, supplement or correct it if necessary, and then submit it, advises the NRA.
Since the beginning of the campaign, 6,953 income declarations have been submitted to the NRA Burgas, of which 2,131 with a personal identification code (PIC), 314 with an electronic signature, 3,660 in the service lounge of the territorial directorate and 845 through postal operators.
The tax campaign for declaring personal income received in 2023 ends on April 30.
On July 1, the deadline for submitting the annual tax returns (under Article 50 of the Income Tax Act) for natural persons operating as traders, registered sole traders and farmers who have chosen this method of taxation also expires.
Those who submit their annual declarations electronically by March 31 enjoy a discount of up to BGN 500 from the import tax if they have no enforceable public obligations at the time of submitting the declaration, as well as if they have paid the entire amount of the import tax by the deadline on March.
This year, March 31st is a Sunday, so the deadline for declaring and paying the debts with a 5% discount is until April 1st.
Additional information on income declaration can be found in the podcast on the subject on the revenue agency’s YouTube channel or obtained by calling the NRA Information Center: 0700 18 700 or 02/ 9859 6801, at a price according to the tariffs of the relevant operator.
