In the next two weeks there will be a closure of bank counters in several of the revenue agency offices that still have them, reported by NAA. This will not affect taxpayers as they can choose from other payment methods and pay off their debts quickly and easily without incurring any fees.
Almost BGN 1.4 billion have been paid through the virtual and physical POS terminals of the NRA since the beginning of August this year. until the end of July 2024, according to the agency. For the same period, more than 2.2 million transactions were carried out without fees through the devices in the offices of the revenue agency and through the NRA’s e-service for payment by cards (the so-called virtual POS).
Users have the opportunity to pay off their debts with a debit or credit card in any NRA office, through the POS terminal devices installed there, as well as through the electronic service “Information about debts with the possibility of making a payment”. It is available with a personal identification code (PIC) or a qualified electronic signature (QES) in the Electronic Services Portal.
At the payment through the virtual or physical POS terminals of the NRA, no fees are due and it is reflected in the client’s tax insurance account immediately. An exception is made for payments of obligations that are in the process of enforcement (for example, fines from traffic police, etc.), the repayment of which is reflected after additional processing and takes more time.
Another way to pay debts to the revenue agency is by bank transfer, and since October 2 last year this is done only through the new bank accounts of the NRA in the BNB.
