This Saturday evening, En Avant Guingamp moved to the Niort lawn for the report of the 9th day of Ligue 2. After a quiet match, the two teams went back to back (0-0).
Guingamp forward : 5
On a rain-soaked lawn, the Costa Rican club encountered some difficulties at the start of the game. Jérémy Livolant and his attacking partners were unable to pierce the Niortaise defence, which has been known to be crumbly since the start of the season. The battle then raged in midfield as the two formations neutralized each other. At halftime, the score was logically zero and empty.
The locals then pushed to break the deadlock, but the Breton defense was careful. Across the field, Stéphane Dumont’s men still lacked the inspiration to get close to the surface and create opportunities. Driven by a fake pace, the match finally ended in a dismal 0-0 which helps no one. En Avant Guingamp thus drops to 5th place in Ligue 2 and will have to face Rodez (17) this Tuesday.
Enzo Basilio : 7
The Guingamp goalkeeper ran few dangers during the first act. Always concentrated, he made a magnificent save before the break from an opponent’s header from close range. In the second half Enzo Basilio didn’t let himself be surprised by Jules Gaudin’s wrong back pass which took the goal path. A serious match as usual.
Baptist Roux : 5
The central defender was overtaken at the start of the match due to an often approximate placement. Quite feverish with the ball, he didn’t go far from making a fatal mistake, but the Niortai didn’t take advantage of it. Guingampais then rallied in the second half.
Felix Help Help : (Not Rated)
The Douala native made an interesting start to the game with a lot of aggression. Touched on a heel, unfortunately he has been replaced by Vincent Manceau (18). The former Angevin was rather reassuring.
Mathis Riou : 8
The young Costaarmorican imposes himself week after week in the rear of the EAG. Very comfortable in the defensive phase, he was rarely put in trouble by Niort’s attacks.
Julius Gaudin : 7
The left piston has once again demonstrated that it has above-average technical skills. Jules Gaudin did not hesitate to throw himself on his side to deliver precise crosses, especially in the direction of Baptiste Guillaume.
Dylan Louiserre : 6
Against his former team-mates, the En Avant player Guingamp was quite good in his midfield role. He’s really starting to take the marks of him directing his team’s play.
Tristan Muyumba : 6
The box-to-box midfielder has stepped up efforts to connect defense and attack. Aggressive, he also recovered many balls in midfield before looking for his teammates in the forward position.
Especially Sivis : 5
The former Red Star didn’t offer a great performance against Niort. He very rarely provoked on his side and was content with predictable passing across the board. Rather disappointing game given its qualities.
Maxime Barthelme : 3
The Guingamp leader was not very inspired. He multiplied the touches of the ball without interest, thus slowing down his team’s game. Beyond that, Maxime Barthelmé has never been able to make a difference on the offensive front. He was logically replaced by Mehdi Baaloudj (67th) to bring new blood.
Baptist William : 3
The 1m90 forward was regularly sought out as a centrepiece. He managed quite well in this area by imposing himself in the air even if the precision was not there. Clumsy in the box, the Belgian was unable to convert the few chances that presented him.
Jeremy Livolant : 3
Sparkling since the start of the season, Jérémy Livolant had a night without it. Despite his great mobility on the pitch, he wasn’t touched often by his teammates.
