As has been customary in recent years, this holiday season the city’s Transit Museum continues the annual tradition of Holiday Nostalgia Rides on R1/9 train cars from the 1930s.
The train will depart the 2nd Avenue station on the F line in lower Manhattan beginning this Saturday, December 2.
The so-called “Holiday Nostalgia Train” will transport users every Saturday in December.
“Don’t miss the opportunity to travel back in time, for only the cost of swiping a MetroCard or touching OMNY!” warns the Transit Museum.
Holiday Nostalgia Rides begin this Saturday! Making stops between 2nd Avenue on the F line and 145th Street on the D line, our 1930s R1/9 cars will transport straphangers back in time every Saturday in December. View full route and schedule at https://t.co/ehJ9JT6qMB. pic.twitter.com/4mNLmvFS0S
