The largest share of production at the Silesian plant in 2021 was accounted for by the Tucson model, which accounts for 70 percent of production. “The i30 model line accounted for almost 20 percent of production last year. The innovated sharp Hyundai i30 N, which began to roll off the lines last year, accounted for two percent of production,” said Michník. The remaining eight percent of cars produced were used by Kona Electric.
“Over 30 percent of cars produced last year have hybrid, plug-in hybrid or fully electric drive. This year, the carmaker expects the share of such cars to grow again,” said Michník. The company does not plan to launch any new model this year, but new projects are planned for production in 2023.

“In line with carbon neutrality plans, we are becoming the company’s first production plant to use exclusively renewable electricity this year. We are preparing large investments in photovoltaics and other energy-saving technologies,” said HMMC President Cheolseung Baek.
Most cars from Nošovice traveled to Germany, Spain, France and Great Britain. “The Tucson model is also largely heading to countries in the Middle East. Kona Electric from Nošovice is the most successful in Germany, France and Norway,” said Michník. But cars made last year in Nošovice also run in Mexico, Ecuador, New Caledonia and the island of Martinique.
