The Norwegian Vikings on Trampolines offers collaboration and chaos for…

Owlboy was hailed as the best Norwegian game since The Longest Journey when it was launched in 2016and consequently there has been a lot of excitement about the next big project from D-Pad Studios.

Now their next game has finally been revealed, and it’s nothing less than a game where you control crazy vikings who jump on a trampoline to get up and ahead in the world. The game is a side-scrolling platform adventure that pits the titular Vikings against balloon monsters, ravenous whales and mechanical giant birds. At least this and more appear in the fresh reveal trailer (which you can watch above).

Happy and bearded.

It’s the usual weird stuff, and the developers have also taken care of the same colorful and gorgeous pixel graphics that the studio has become so famous for.

New to this game is the ability for up to four players to play simultaneously, in a game that promises equal parts chaotic cooperation and playful competitive fun.

Vikings on Trampolines was originally created as a small experimental project already in 2011, could Jo-Remi Madsen tell IGN in connection with the announcement:

– After the launch of Owlboy, we returned to the idea and developed it into a fun, full-fledged cooperative adventure.

Vikings on Trampolines is in development for both PC and consoles. No information about the launch date is known.
