Norwegian national team striker Alexander Reichenberg, who played in Sparta Prague in the 2017/2018 season, died at the age of 31. The sad information was announced by his parent club from Lillehammer. The causes of sudden death have not been disclosed.

“He was an X-factor player for our club. He contributed both to the game and to the running of the cabin. He used his international experience to motivate his young teammates. Rest in peace,” the Norwegian team said in a statement.
“It’s incredibly sad that he will never hear the screams of our fans again. And that we, who were sitting in the stands, will no longer see this always smiling player, who devised various feints and threatened with a hard shot in the power play,” Lillehammer says goodbye to the child who died prematurely.
Reichenberg participated in two world championships, he also started at the 2018 Olympic Games in South Korea. In addition to playing in Sparta Prague, where he scored fourteen points in 42 games in the 2017/2018 season, he also tried hockey in Graz, Austria, and in the Swedish top flight for Färjestad and Oskarshamn.
