The Nordic Council jury says of the book that Dåsnes has “created a book that engages, touches and makes the reader reflect on both collective, political and social issues, as well as individual existential issues”.

VG Kristine Isaksen’s children’s book critic has followed Dåsnes’s writing and is happy for the young author.

– It’s great to receive an international award for your second book, as 26-year-old Nora Dåsnes is doing now. “Missed call” is special because the language is so complete and conveys the existential scream that is collective pain after 7/22, says Isaksen.
