What for extra than a year was considered the northernmost island in the world turns out to be not an island at all. The researchers located that it is just an iceberg protected with earth and gravel. This is what the Danish scientist Rene Forsberg tells the German news company DPA.
Very last calendar year, the iceberg was uncovered by Danish and Swiss experts. They assumed it was an island, north of Greenland. Upon further more investigation, water was found beneath the island, which means it is basically a flat iceberg.
