The North Sumatra Health Service urges the public to be aware of the transmission of smallpox

MEDAN, KOMPAS.TV – The North Sumatra Regional Health Service continues to monitor community traffic to prevent monkey pox.

WHO itself has declared a public health emergency for the monkey pox disease due to the increase in cases in several countries.

There are symptoms like monkeypox, the appearance of a rash on the skin, accompanied by fever, muscle pain, and several other symptoms such as swollen lymph nodes.

Human-to-human transmission can occur through close contact with bodily fluids or contaminated objects.

In Indonesia itself, most diseases are the result of sexual intercourse.

In North Sumatra no cases of monkeypox have been reported.
