An old farm on the outskirts of the small town of Börm in Schleswig-Holstein. Chickens run through the garden, the vegetable beds are full to bursting and the smell of freshly mown meadows is in the air. This is the home of Freya George and David de Temple. The two young people have swapped their two-room apartment in Flensburg for their dream of a self-sufficient life in the country and now have to overcome one challenge after another. The name of their project is a combination of their own names and their ideas about country life: FreyDaLand. Renovation with obstacles Freya works in marketing, David has a vocational training and is studying IT. The couple have taken out a mid-six-figure loan to make their dream come true. In order to be able to pay the installments, they want to renovate the old bakery and rent it out to holiday guests. But the renovation is more difficult than they thought. And then the two discover woodworm in the roof. Living in the community Freya and David are not alone in all this. They have help from their neighbors, who support them in opening a farm shop and, like master baker Achim, also help out at the farm festival. There are also volunteers like Charlie from Australia, who helps out on the farm for a few weeks in return for room and board. In the long term, however, Freya and David want to build a permanent farm community in Börm. Over the summer, they will be looking for their first roommates. Will their project be successful and will they be able to fulfill their dream of country life?
