Nokian Paperi, a tissue factory located in Nokia, is on fire, says the Pirkanmaa rescue service.

Chief on duty Mika Kupiainen says a little before eight that the extinguishing work is still going on in the interior.
– There have been outbreaks of fire, and they are being cleared. It’s slow and hard. However, the bigger fire has been extinguished, says Kupiainen.
According to Kupiainen, it is difficult to say how long the extinguishing work will continue. He estimates that it can take one to two hours to extinguish the colonies.
According to the first information, twenty units of the rescue service went to the scene. According to Kupiainen, some of the units have already gone back.
Kupiainen is of the opinion that there were workers at the factory when the fire broke out. The workers did the initial extinguishing. According to preliminary information, no injuries were caused by the fire.
