Great news for NJPW fans with the announcement of the Japanese federation returning to Long Beach, California for the Resurgence PPV on May 21st.
The show will take place in the Walter Pyramid.
The NJPW press release:
“On May 21, New Japan Pro-Wrestling returns to the Walter Pyramid in Long Beach for the first time since the 2019 Super J-Cup. The premier venue for NJPW USA fights in 2018 and 2019, the Walter Pyramid will see NJPW STRONG LIVE present Resurgence live in pay per view, along with free streaming for NJPW World subscribers through NJPW STRONG On Demand.
The Resurgence PPV first took place in the summer of 2021, when Hiroshi Tanahashi defeated Lance Archer in the main event at LA Coliseum and won the IWGP United States Championship title. What could happen when the best wrestlers from the United States and Japan face off in the stunning Pyramid next May? Be sure to experience it in person!”
