Yunlin County Councilor Liang Mingzhong died of multiple organ failure today (27) at the Affiliated Hospital of China Medical University at the age of 56. Yesterday, Liang Mingzhong lost 5,147 votes in nine-to-one elections and failed to seek re-election.
Liang Mingzhong was an elected councilor in the 4th electoral district (Xiluo, Erlun, Lunbei) of Yunlin County. Today he died of multiple organ failure and failed to seek re-election. After the news broke, people in the area expressed their dismay.
Liang Mingzhong’s friend surnamed Li said that Liang Mingzhong was admitted to the Affiliated Hospital of China Medical University in late August due to physical malaise and persistent fever, and was discharged more than a month later. In mid-October, Liang Mingzhong fell ill again and went to the Yunlin Branch of the National Taiwan University Hospital for medical treatment. Due to the rapid deterioration of his condition, he was immediately transferred to the China Medical University Affiliated Hospital for treatment, but died of multiple organ failure, condolences.
According to information from the Central Election Commission, in the 2022 nine-in-one election, the 4th electoral district of Yunlin County Councilor Election is expected to elect 6 seats. A total of 7 candidates participated in the election. Liang Mingzhong got 5147 votes, and was elected last.
