On Saturday, the Night of the Gliders will be held; six locations joined the national event this year, including the Zugligeti Libegő in Budapest.
At the event, which will take place for the eighth time on July 15, this year you can hang out until late in the evening at six locations, according to the event’s Facebook page. In addition to the Libegő in Zugliget, the Ski Park in Mátraszentistván, the Libegő Park in Lilafüred, the Oxygen Adrenalin Park in Sásto, the Síaréna Vibe Park in Eplény and the Zemplén Adventure Park in Sátoraljaújhely are among the locations, which will be open until late on Saturday.
BKV Zrt. told MTI on Monday that the Zugliget Libegő cable car is 1,040 meters long, and the difference in level between its two stations is 262 meters. On a hilly ride you can reach the highest point of the capital, János Hill, and on a valley ride it offers a unique view of Budapest. The lift operates all year round, but only at night on the Night of the Floats, between 19:00 on July 15 and 1:00 on July 16.
As they say, the 4,000 HUF return tickets for the event can be purchased in advance at the Underground Railroad Museum in Deák Square. Tickets not sold in advance are available on the day of the event at the Deák Square Museum until 4:00 p.m., and at the Zugligeti Frisian from 5:30 p.m. on the spot. Tickets can only be purchased in cash, travel is free for children under the age of 3, the announcement highlights.

In addition to bus 291, the Zugliget Frigate can also be reached on the night of the Floats by the R158 retro bus, which transports interested parties directly between Széll Kálmán tér and Zugliget during the event, the announcement states.
