The Night of Common Good Comes to Dijon: Fundraising Event for Local Associations

If the event has existed for seven years and has already established itself in many cities like Lyon, Lille, Marseille, Toulouse or Bordeaux, it will take place for the first time in Dijon. The Night of Common Good is an evening dedicated to fundraising. On the program, nine local associations, which will each have three minutes to defend a strong project in front of a panel of potential donors from the region.

The evening is financed by patrons who are responsible for selecting the associations which will present themselves to the public. Among the selection criteria are the usefulness of the project, its sustainability and its own identity. The Night of the Common Good focuses on five themes: vulnerability, precariousness, ecology, culture and heritage. “The subjects that are lastingly established are those that revolve around education, school, inclusion and disability. Many young people are also dedicated to ecology,” explains Thomas Tixier, in charge of communications for the event.

In Dijon, Géraldine Duprat will present her project: the CEC Dijon, which aims to establish shared schooling allowing children with disabilities to go to school, while having access to an adapted center a few days a week .

Géraldine is the mother of Chloé, aged 9 and carrying a rare disease. She wants to develop conductive teaching locally. Since 2018, through the association A Future for Chloé, she has fought to improve the quality of life of children and caregivers. She proudly specifies: “in 5 years, we have supported 33 children and been able to see a lot of progress”.

See you on November 13 at Dijon Congress Center to support associations in the Côte-d’Or department.
