Xiaomi has reserved the “Ultra” versions of its high-end smartphones for the Chinese market. These premium machines stood out for their powerful cameras which, with 2023 launches, will be accessible to more users.
The information is not yet official, but everything indicates that the Xiaomi 13 Ultra (or 13S Ultra) will be presented at the Mobile World Congress in Barcelona which starts on the last day of February.
Xiaomi is working with one of the companies that helped Huawei conquer consecutively the first places regarding the photographic quality of its smartphones, Leica. This partnership was announced in May last year and led to the launch of the Xiaomi 12s line, which included the Ultra model.
The Xiaomi 13 and 13 Pro models had already been presented at the end of December and everything suggests that the Ultra version has been kept secret for the MWC 2023.
According to 91mobiles, at the mobile technology fair to be held in Barcelona in late February, Xiaomi will present “a premium smartphone with Leica cameras”.
What to expect from the Xiaomi 13 Ultra?
According to some rumors that are already circulating on the internet, it will be the cameras that will stand out the most in this new smartphone, with the 1-inch main camera and which will bring improvements compared to the version launched in the 12S Ultra. Furthermore, it is said that Xiaomi will finally be able to compete with Samsung or Huawei in terms of zoom.
The processor will obviously be the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 and the screen, also predictably, will have a QHD+ resolution, and the dimensions are not yet known.
All other specs shouldn't be too different from smartphones Xiaomi 13 and 13 Pro. Having chosen the MWC stage to present the new Ultra model, it would be strange to say the least if it weren't finally available in more markets than the Chinese one. By the end of February, as usual, Xiaomi should leave several clues about its next launch on its social networks.
