Not that I didn’t try, but frankly I admit that I didn’t come to win. First of all, I don’t like to slow down traffic, this year I didn’t even notice on the back of my Enyaq that I was driving a wear race. I drove slower than I’m used to, yes, but under forty I only “whispered” out of town if I didn’t see anyone behind me. However, I also recorded the highest average speed of 57.40 km/h out of all competitors in the electric group, the winner Honza Říha drove a route 322.4 kilometers long with an average of 54.64 km/h, while ‘ the organizers set the minimum speed at 54.49 km/h, so that we don’t hang out so much again.

And in the second row, Monča and I did not stop ourselves in any way on board the Enyaq, it was a nice September Saturday with a temperature above twenty degrees and we could not enjoy the comfort of the air to deny ourselves. When I passed the breathless Enyaq from Honza Říha, which I could only recognize through the foggy window, I realized that it might have been a mistake.

I reached the finish line with an average consumption of 12.60 kWh per 100 km, which I considered a fantastic result. For example – Škoda gives an average consumption of 14.5-15.5 kWh per 100 km for the Enyaqu Coupé 85 with a power of 210 kW, during last year’s economy run I reached the last 13.79 kWh, the winning team registered 12, 26 kWh. So I was shaking on the grid anyway, but then Honza Říha strode to the finish line, wiped the sweat from his forehead and windshield, and jumped 9.93 kWh up in the interim results table… Unreal performance. I congratulate Honz further because he finished the “race” with an Enyaq equipped with all wheel drive. For such a model, we found an average consumption of 15.9-16.9 kWh in the technical data.

So the originally great 12.60 kWh became below average, which brought it up to eighth place. Out of ten enyaqs… If there is one next time, we bring t-shirts to change, turn off the ventilation and breathe Enyaq! Despite the highest average speed, I can’t say that we didn’t really try to drive the mentioned ones ​​over three hundred kilometers just like that. I cut corners, walked downhill as much as I could (which should be more economical than getting back up, although Elon doesn’t think so), and pulled below 80 km/h as fast as I wasn’t braking anyone behind me. Disappointment from the eighth place came with an unexpected intensity, even the other half of the team, who had their hands full with sailing, said that it would not be like this next time. Next time with the ventilation and all other appliances off!

She and the box were very, very far away. The second electric car place was taken by the father and son team Tomíšk with 10.75 kWh, the bronze belonged to the couple Pecák with 10.86 kWh. And what’s worse, we reached the eighth place only because of the disqualification of the Smíšci team… Next time we will sweat!

Jiří Pilný and Petr Šíma did the best in the combustion categories among the petrol drivers, whose Škoda Citigo consumed only 2.89 liters per 100 km on average. And the boys averaged a fairly high speed of 56.23 km/h. The Martinec/Konečný duo dominated the diesels, the average 3.15 liter battled the four-cylinder Octavia with the very economical two-liter TDI in the 85 kW version.

This year was already the 42nd year of this “race” (the quotation marks indicate my frustration with the poor performance, but the truth is that we are probably all thinking about speed topics under the term race) and I’m just reminding you. enthusiasm for next year – no comfort, but blood, sweat and tears and an average attack well below 11 kWh!
