The next ministerial meeting of TDT will be held in Azerbaijan

It was proposed to hold the next meeting of the Ministers of Industry, Science, Technology and Innovation of the countries of the Group of Turkic States (TST) in Azerbaijan. At the event attended by the Azerbaijani delegation headed by M. Jabbarov, Turkish Minister of Industry and Technology Mehmet Fatih Kacır expressed his hope that the talks and bilateral meetings will be effective and help to strengthen the relationship in the future.

The General Secretary of TDT, Kubanichbek Omuraliyev, emphasized the importance of cooperation arising from the need for historical and cultural partnership between the member states of the group and expressed confidence that the meeting will be important in strengthening mutual activity.

At the meeting, the Minister of Economy M. Jabbarov noted that strengthening cooperation between the Turkish states guarantees prosperity, economic growth and sustainable development of our countries. Azerbaijan highly values ​​the cooperation with the Turkic states and supports integration processes in the Turkic world. It was confirmed that today’s event in Istanbul will be important for the development of non-oil industry, the promotion of trade and investments, SME, the use of modern technologies, the assessment of opportunities to increase our enterprises in the fields of science , innovation and digitization.

It was said that in the document “Azerbaijan 2030: National Priorities for socio-economic development” “Clean environment and “green growth” country is defined as one of the main directions, giving an important place to the use of technologies which is ecologically clean, waste recycling, promoting the restoration of polluted areas, measures are planned to expand the use of environmentally friendly technologies. Also, the creation of new industrial zones by the state in the areas that are exempted from employment, the adoption of favorable incentive packages for entrepreneurs in these areas, and the publication of the area as a green energy area among the measures aimed at accelerating development.

The Minister of Economy also drew attention to various global initiatives announced by our country, which will host the 29th session of the Conference of the Parties to the UN Framework Convention on Climate Change (COP29) in November this year.

It was noted at the event that investments for TDT countries play an important role in ensuring economic development and macroeconomic stability. Based on this, important work has been done in the area of ​​investments among TDT countries in recent years, and the Turkish Investment Fund was established to promote the economic development of the member states. In addition, the investment funds established between Azerbaijan and Uzbekistan, Azerbaijan and Kyrgyzstan, and Azerbaijan and Kazakhstan will contribute to the economic development of the countries and to the improvement of the level of well-being.

The Minister also emphasized the importance of the creation of Green SME Resource Centers, Research and Development (R&D) activities, informed about institutional platforms that provide access to technology, knowledge and financial resources, holding the next meeting of Ministers Industry, Science, Technology and Innovation of the countries of the Group of Turkic States in Azerbaijan made a proposal regarding The proposal was accepted by the participating countries. At the meeting, the speeches of the representatives of the member states of the group were heard, and the Joint Declaration was adopted on the results of the first meeting of the Ministers of Industry, Science, Technology and Innovations of the Group of Turkic States.
