Rumors continue ahead of Summer Game Fest 2022 and other presentations of the season. We were recently talking about Hideo Kojima’s new title and now it’s the turn of the franchise Minecraftas it has been reported that the next game in the world of blocks will be a real-time strategy (RTS).
This information comes from the mouth of gaming journalist and whistleblower Jeff Gerstmann, who recently left Giant Bomb. During a presentation on his Twitch channel, Gerstmann said that this new game is in the testing phase. Players would control “a character similar to Steve who leads other units to fight known enemies of Minecraftlike Piglins».
The well-known journalist added that he hopes to see the official announcement of this new real-time strategy (RTS) game from Minecraft in the presentation of Xbox and Bethesda games which will take place on June 12, 2022.
This is not the first spin-off of the popular block game. In the past we have seen the curious Minecraft: Story Modethe title ‘Devil-style’ Minecraft Dungeons and a ‘clone’ of Pokémon GO called Minecraft Earth what eventually stopped working. Hopefully the next installment in this franchise has a better fate than the latter.
