The next generation of the Ford Mustang, which will be the seventh in a row and will bear the internal designation S650, will be available with the in-line four-cylinder EcoBoost and the Coyote eight-cylinder fork. At least according to the Ford Authority’s website, which deals with reports of this American concern.

The web says that intergenerational change will not be too much about technology. The novelty is not to receive any all-wheel drive, and at least during the performance, it is to offer an atmospheric five-liter eight-cylinder Coyote and a 2.3-liter supercharged four-cylinder EcoBoost, ie the same engines as the mustang offers today.

The only thing we can theoretically expect is a change in power and torque values. However, it is possible that some hybrid powertrain will come on offer for the next mustang later; in the past, there was talk of an electrified variant of the eight-cylinder and four-cylinder.

On the other hand, the interior is expected to undergo major changes in order to get rid of the traditional center console in favor of a more modern dashboard design. We may find out what this will look like in 2023, when the seventh generation of the mustang should be revealed.
