From next season, the Serie A women’s championship will move tol professionalism. The FIGC itself announced it.

Professionalism will bring great differences for the athletes, who will be able to stipulate multi-year contracts with the companies, becoming employees and thus being able to enjoy all the rights and protections of the case in the legal and health fields.
The Italian clubs, for their part, will be able to register non-EU players more easily, thanks to the residence permit for work and will see their importance grow globally.
