From Monday 28 to Thursday 31 December 2020, News Seine-Saint-Denis offers you a retrospective of the year in the department. A year necessarily marked by the Covid-19, but also several news items, strikes, but also great stories and unusual information.
First episode (out of four) with the first three months of the year. While distant echoes from China spoke of a new unknown virus in France, several strikes struck the Seine-Saint-Denis. At the same time, the Auchan store in Villetaneuse closed, the first trains of line 14 were unveiled and the municipal election campaign was in full swing.
JANUARY 2020: a month marked by strike action

Auchan has definitively closed its doors, in Villetaneuse. Indeed, the Spacia group, owner of the shopping mall, has asserted its right of pre-emption. This closure was a blow for the municipality as well as for the inhabitants who used to be in this store.

Monday February 3, 2020, a bus from the RATP, line 147, and a truck exploded on national road 3, at the height of Bobigny, avenue de Paris. The RATP services confirmed that there were no injuries, “the passengers and the driver of the bus left at the first fumes of smoke”.

Friday March 6, 2020, two people perished in a fire, rue du Hameau in Sevran. According to the municipality, the fire is of accidental origin. According to the first elements of the investigation, the fire would have started in a building at the back of the garden, behind a main house.
