The New York Stock Exchange will close its trading venue due to the coronavirus crisis

The New York Stock Exchange (NYSE) has announced this Wednesday that it will temporarily close its trading grounds and activate an electronic trading regime due to the covid-19 pandemic, reports CNBC. According to the media, the negotiation “fully electronic“will start next Monday, March 23.

“While we are taking the precautionary measure to close the trading floors, we continue to firmly believe that the markets should remain open and accessible to investors,” said New York Stock Market President Stacey Cunningham.

“All NYSE markets will continue to operate with normal trading hours despite the closing of trading floors,” he added.
