The New York Stock Exchange opened in dispersed order on Friday to end a turbulent week: the Dow Jones lost 0.50%, the Nasdaq oscillated from red to green, gaining 0.09% a few minutes after the opening.
The day before, the indices had fallen, disrupted by the Fed, while its president Jerome Powell almost formalized a marked increase in interest rates in May.
The Dow Jones fell 1.05% to 34,792.76 points, the tech-heavy Nasdaq index fell 2.07% to 13,174.65 points, and the broader S&P 500 index lost 1.48 % at 4,393.66 points.
