The New York Stock Exchange ended higher on Friday after several lackluster sessions, buoyed by technology and a more dovish tone from some Fed members.
The Dow Jones index, which accelerated in late trading, advanced 1.00%, the tech-heavy Nasdaq gained 2.66% and the S&P 500 1.89%.
