The New York Public Library acquires the Oliver Sacks archive

The New York Public Library has acquired the archives of British anthropologist and writer Oliver Sacks. The entire archive contains documents spanning 80 years, from Sacks’ birth in 1933 to his death at the age of 82 in 2015. It includes 375 linear meters of documents, as well as rare books, artifacts audio visual and memories. The library received the collection from the Oliver Sacks Foundation.
